I had my first birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Mommy got me a princess cake and daddy decorated the house with lots of balloons and pictures. I kept pointing to everything and smiling it was cool.

Everytime I opened a present eveyone would chuckle as I would clap and then throw my arms up in the air above my head and then use sign language for more.

I did have a little reaction to the frosting on my face; there was not that much there as I am a neat eater, but what I did have there got all red and swollen; it went away a short time later (phew).

I was sick on my birthday; I had another ear infection. Mommy said I am going to a special doctor on 1/14 to check me out. I think she said he was an EMT...or was it ENT. Yeah, E.N.T.

One bit of bad news; my pediatrician has left our practice and she is not practicing in a place where she can see me unless I am really really sick mommy says. Mommy, Daddy, and I are very sad by this; Dr. Abrams is the bestest and I will miss her a lot!

Did I tell you that I am walking...actually running. It is very cool. I can go everywhere and so fast. I keep mommy and daddy running. It is great. I am trying to say more words too. I can say mama, dadda, nana, cat, book, papa (paper), baba (Barbara), all done, oaht oah, hello (with my hand up to my ear and my head crocked tothe side). I can use sign language for food, more, please, milk, and thank you...or is that blowing kisses...sometimes I get confused :)

Can you believe I am 11 months old today? WOW. Mommy and Daddy are already planning my first birthday and I cant wait (Sat 12/8 1-3pm)

I have so much to cath you up on; I went trick-or-treating around our subdivision with the little girl across the street. It was fun.

I have transitioned into the toddler room at daycare and am finally setteling in. I nap on a mat now (no more crib) at 'school' and I brought mommy my first piece of 'artwork' from school :)

I walk a little bit on my own now. I walk all around on my own if I can hold onto things or someones finger but I am getting more confidence and starting to venture out on my own.

I am going to see Grandma this weekend; I have not seen her in a month as she was sick and then I was sick etc. I cant wait.

Oh...I am learning sign language!

Mommy says she is sorry she has not updated this for me in a while; My Grandma has been sick so daddy has been away and mommy has been busy with me and all....

I just recovered from having Croup; I was miserable with lots of nasal and chest congestion, a terrible cough, purple circles under my eyes, and I was just plain cranky. BUT...I am much better now and look as cute as ever.

I went to see Dr. Abrahms today and she said I am doing great. I am 19lbs 6oz can you believe it?! I turn 11 months next week too :)

Watch your mailbox as mommy and daddy just mailed out some new pictures of me.

I walk all around the house while holding onto things (the wall, the couch, a chair etc); I can walk next to you if you let me hold your finger. I CAN walk by myself, but I am too chicken :)

ps--I can use sign language to say more now.

I am just about to walk on my own; I still take two steps and then either sit down or grab onto something. It is very exciting.

I have been fighing a little cold, but am handling it well.

I am such a happy girl and my mommy and daddy just smile at me all the time--it is so cool.

I am on the go....I like to walk all around the furniture (I am still holding on). I like to climb, which makes mommy nervous, but it is fun.

I went to the doctor for my 9 month checkup and I am doing great. I even started eating cheerios and little goldfish. Yummy.

Mommy took a vacation last week and we spent the whole week together; it was fun.

I have mastered crawling and have decided that I want to walk; I am walking all over if someone holds my balance. I love to climb up into a standing position on things. Mommy says I make her nervous.

I have two teeth now too. Finally, it took them forever to break through. I am working on some more.

I am having so much fun crawling and playiing with my toys. I love my drum and my leapfrog music bench.

I have another ear infection. Mommy & daddy saw it coming and took me in before I got the high fevers. Doctor Abrahms said I am going to see a specialist to be sure there is nothing else we can do to help me out since these seem to be chronic. I will be sure to update you.

I am just about to move over from the Powder Puff room to the Huggables room at daycare (they are basically the same room but have different teachers and toys etc). They had a petting zoo come to daycare and I got to go and pet a pony--I loved it. I love animals. The big dog across the street Molson makes me giggle, he is so big and his tail is crazy.

I AM CRAWLING!!!!!
It sure is a lot easier to get to where I want to go than rolling. This is cool!

I am not very graceful just yet, but I get where I want to go and that is exciting.
Mommy took some video of me the first day and said she will find a place to post it so you can see too.

I am just about recovered from my 2nd ear infection. Yup, I thought I was sick last time, well two weeks later and this time I was fighting off a 105 degree fever and infections in both ears. It was not fun.

I am babbling a lot now, I can say mommy, daddy, nana, and up (I dont really know what up is, but mommy thinks it is cute so I say it)

Nana keeps telling mommy I am going to crawl anyday. I got the whole arm thing down, the legs too, I am just not too sure how to do them both together..

I interact more with my toys; I have drums that I can beat on and alphabet letters come up, I like that. I have morraccas that I shake and it counts, and I have cups I can stack and then bang around. I like all these toys.

OMG--my cousins Lindsay, Emma, and Haley gave me two dolls that used to be my mommy's; that is really neat--thanks Karen!!

ps--I am 8 months old today; Happy Birthday to me :)

I am starting to recover from my first ear infection. Boy was I sick last week. I had a 103.6 fever and was just miserable. Of course I got the ear infection while trying to fight a stomach bug that was going around daycare--geesh.

July 4 2007

Well I can sit on my own no problem now; and guess what?....I said my first word: dada

I can finally touch bottom in my walker and yestereday (7/3) I walked backwards about 7 feet; mommy and nana were all excited.

I went to Grandma's last weekend and mommy gave me a bath in Grandma's kitchen sink. It was lots of fun and I made a big mess with all my splashing; no one seemed to mind.

June 2007

Did mommy and daddy tell you that I can sit on my own for short periods of time now? Yup. I can. And my feet finally touch the ground when I am sitting in my exersaucer. (not in the walker yet)

I got a little swimming pool and I LOVE to splash and play in it with toys. I even have a pool in the bathroom that they let me play in; I dont have to sit in the plastic seat anymore. It is fun.

I am still sleeping through the night and am only fussy when I am hungry or very tired. I am eating all kinds of neat baby foods. I even eat big girl bananas and cantelope in a special container that lets me chew on the food without mommy worrying I will get too big a piece.

June 11 - 17 2007

I went to the Dr for my 6 month checkup today.
I weight 14lbs 11oz and am 25" long (at 4 months I was 11lbs 14oz--cool)

No more concerns over my vision--the only concern now is that it looks like I might have alergies; I dont know what that means but mommy says it might be why my nose is so stuffy all the time, and why my eyes get all red and itchey.

I am rolling over with ease now--I get where ever I want now by rolling. They call me Miss Independant at daycare.

June 1 - 7 2007

June 1--my daddy went to grandmas today and I rolled over from my back to my belly for the very first time; It took a lot of hard work, but I did it--mommy and nana were all excited-

June 2--mommy took video of me today rolling all around the livingroom floor; daddy was away and I learned how to move my arm so that I can roll easier--it is fun and mommy gets all excited every time--ha ha

May 15 - 21 2007

I was baptised on Sunday; I was very nice. Auntie Susan is my Godmother and Uncle Chip is my Godfather; we had a celebration after and lots of people came to my house; it was fun.

During the ceramony Father John kept trying to make a cross on my forehead but I would grab his hand and try to put it in my mouth; everyone in the church chuckled.

May 8 - 14 2007

I am fascinating my mommy and daddy by rolling over--they are silly. They make me do it over and over and over....

My Baptism is May 20th; mommy got me a really pretty dress. I'll share pictures if you cant make it.

I dont know what it means, but I am told I am teething; maybe that is why I drool so much and am extra stuffy in my nose.

I just noticed that we have cats; I keep reaching out to pet them but they stay just far enough away that I cant reach.

ps--My Grandma is coming home this week--yippie!


It is Mothers Day and we went to Grandma's!! She hasnt seen me since I was only a few weeks old; It was so good to see her.

May 1 - 7 2007

Mommy & Daddy say my Baptism is May 20th--how exciting; I see that I have a pretty dress to wear.

I can almost hold my bottle all by myself, I am starting to reach for things, and I am sleeping all the way through the night now. Mommy smiles at me all the time--silly mommy.

If you get the email my daddy sends out every day you might have noticed that I have pierced ears now; cool.

April 23 - 30 2007

I rolled over for the first time today and my mommy was watching!
I was just waking up and thought I would make my mommies day.

I saw my Auntie Barbara last Friday; she was in town on business and stopped by to see me. I was quite cranky so I owe her an apology; I had just received my 4 month shots so I think she will understand.

Grandma...I cant wait to see you again!

April 16 - 22 2007

I had a good week; Daddy kept me home from Daycare on Monday because the weater was bad (what a nice treat).

I have been getting tummy-time at daycare and am starting to like it. When mommy puts me on my tummy for tummy-time I put my head down and cry; I think it is time to go to sleep since I sleep on my tummy. I'll get the hang of it soon.

I go to the doctor on Friday for my 4 month shots (I sure do hate that)

Only one more month till I see my Grandma--yippie

April 2 - 8 2007

I started daycare this week; I think it is pretty cool. I sleep a lot (~4 hours a day), but there is a lot to do and I have many freinds

I get some solid foods now; I generally get rice ceral at night with a fruit; tonight was peaches for the first time--I made a really funny face with the first bite; mommy laughed at me.

April 9 - 15 2007

I went for my 4 month checkup this week and I weighed 11lbs 14oz and am 23" long.

Mommy gave me peas for the first time tonight--I really liked them.

I still sleep about 4 hours a day at daycare; all that stimulation--exhausting.

Mommy and daddy say I will be baptised in June--more details to follow soon.
