Its been too long....

Woah, its been too long; sorry about that. (mommy's fault)

Quick catch up....

• I am a dancer! I love to dance; I do it morning and night. I dance on a competition team (only 4 times a year) and love it! The girls think I am adorable and have really taken me under their wing.
• My first competition was in January and I took 2nd place overall in my division for my solo and 1st place overall in my division for our group dance. It was exciting, but mostly I just loved getting dressed in my costume and performing on stage; that is what I like most.
• I am very much into crafts now; Auntie Kerry hooks me up :)
• I also have a passion for books. Mommy, daddy, and I read everyday and I can even read "Bob's Books" on my own now.
• I have not had much time this winter to go out and play in the snow. Mommy gets me all dressed up and then I hate the wind and want to go inside; maybe i'll try again this weekend.
• I did try ice skating for the first time this winter; I was very afraid at first, but once I got the hang of it, I really liked it. Nana bought me my own skates (of course she did :)).

I am sorry my mama has been too busy to post updates for you; I am doing great.


I am sometimes a challenge as I am quite strong willed, but I am learning, exploring, and growing and just having so much fun.





My favorite teach (Miss Sam) decided to go teach at a new school and I was very very sad but am getting used to my new teacher (Miss Jane).





I asked my mama the other day why the leaves changed colors she went on and on (silly mommy).





Mom was trying to rush me out of the house the other day and said "COME ON CHLOE!"; I replied "hey, dont be fresh missy"; what??? She said it to me once lol

I cant believe mommy has not updated this is so long....

I had my first dance recital last weekend; it was a lot of fun. (all 75 seconds of it). My friends Sammie and Audrey from daycare are going to join my dance class--I'm very excited about that.

I am just a lil person now; I talk in full and complete sentences and am completely potty trained. I make my mommy and daddy laugh everyday (ie 'dont yell at me mommy, it is fresh' or 'it's not fair')

I am ALL attitude, strong willed, and not afraid of anything (well, except possums which seem to live in my room) I love to make pretend and have started to 'read' books (I tell pretend stories about the pages I am reading)

I am excited that summer is here as mommy has promised to take me to many places that sound really fun; but...it has been raining for month so we have not gotten to go to many yet...keep your fingers crossed, and if any of you want to join me...COME ON!

I amaze my mommy and daddy everyday!

I am just about potty trained, know my ABC's, colors, am quite compassionate, and talk in full sentences--Im just growing so fast.

I make my mom and dad laugh everyday! Mommy calls me a drama queen and Daddy says I am a treasure; they are both right.

I like to make funny faces, dance, sing, did I mention dance? I still go to a dance class on Saturday mornings with my mommy and have lots of friends. Mommy doesnt even come in with me anymore; she watches me through the window.

(right now I am singing a song that is on TV; I am dancing and singing into my fist)

Can you believe I will be two next week!! WOW. I have changed so much this year~

I went to Grandma's this Thanksgiving..it was fun. I just loved spending time with Uncle Marc and Uncle Chip, Auntie Barbara, and Cousin Sarah!

OH..I almost forgot, I am sleeping in a big girl bed now! Yup, I love it. But mommy keeps saying she is going to take down my crib, and even thought I have not been in it in two weeks, I dont like that idea....

Mommy and I have been 'challenging' each other; she just doesnt get it, I want what I want, when I want it, and I dont want to hear NO. But she keeps testing me to do what she wants...URGH. ;)

I helped mommy put out some Christmas decorations. I cant wait for Christmas.
Mommy asked me if I knew who Santa Clause was and I said "YES....Uncle Don" (do I really remember that he dressed up as Santa last year?)

I gave my mommy quite the suprise this morning; I manged to take off my footie pajamas and pullup during the night and was completely naked this morning :)

I communicate so well now; I just talk sentences and mommy and daddy just keep smiling at me. They are kooko.

I am a ladybug for Halloween this year (see my pictures below). I have been practicing saying 'trick or treat'. Mommy and daddy are taking me trick or treating (to all 16 houses on our street). I dont know what candy is yet so I am just exciting about showing off my cool costume.

A terrible cold went through our house a few weeks back and I managed to avoid it, but I think I am catching it now. (Yucky nose and my ear hurts (it is draining so go tubes)).

Hope you all had a good summer; Im looking forward to my SECOND BIRTHDAY :)

Today was my first dance class (mommy and me class); I had so much fun. Mommy had to put my beautiful curls all smooth and in a clip in back. It was different.

There is only one other mommy and little girl in our class and I followed all Miss Meghan's instructions like a good girl. I most liked pointing my toes and looking in the mirror.

I wanted so much to stay for the next class (Tiny Tots) but mommy said you have to be 2 first. She is going to ask the teacher if I can take that class too since I follow directions so well and LOVE to dance.

Official sunbather........................... look at me...

I crashed after beach........................... mommy and me

Well i have been trying mommys patience the past two days; I have been throwing tantrums :

• because mommy wouldnt let me stay and watch the working tractors after we had already been there 30 minutes in the hot sun,
• and I wouldnt let mommy change my diaper when I refused to use the big girl potty
• mommy washed my blankies and I didnt want them to go in the dryer

Mommy could go on and on :)

Mommy was on vacation this week and took me to the park everyday; we went to the Beach on Wednesday and I am a fearless beach bum; I LOVED it! I played in the sand and layed on the blanket, I even played in the water and walked the boardwalk.

I am talking so much; When I went to daycare on Tuesday; I remembered that Brandea was no longer there (he has a nanny at home now) and I said to mommy "Brandan all gone; Chloe sad" (awh).

A boy at school bit me twice a few weeks ago, so over the long weekend mommy was teaching me that if Jake got too close, I was to put my hands up and say "no, no, no Jake"; when we got to daycare the next week, Jake came running up to say hello. I shouted at him "back away Jake" lolol

Mommy and I start a mommy and me dance class next week; I'll keep you posted on how that goes :)

I am learning so many new words; I am also learning how to put them together for short sentences. I have a new teacher at daycare (Miss Samantha) and I really like her a lot. She is a lot of fun and helping me learn my Alphabet. I know A-B-C-D now :)

Mommy and daddy took me to Yorks Wild Kingdom in York Maine a few weeks ago and it was so much fun.l I loved the Prairie Dogs and the big Elephant. I love animals, but I loved the beach even more. It got really cool and thunderstorms rolled in so we didnt get to stay long, but it was long enough for me to run in and out of the water and play in the wet sand a bit. I loved it.

I have been having so much fun in the Two's room at Daycare.

We have dress up clothes, paint, have our very own slide, and do other fun projects; I have girls to play with now too :)

I really miss my friends Gavin, Tyler and my teacher Miss Rachel; I still get to see Gavin and Miss Rachel, but wish I could play with them more!

I am talking up a storm mommy and daddy say. I am putting words together now too.

I have some teeth coming in and am stuggling with them. I was crying in the car the other day and said "mama, help...teeth". Mommy looked very sad.

We are going to see Grandma this weekend and mommy said we might go to Storyland on Friday; I dont know what that is, but it sounds like fun.

My very favorite things are still books and dolls (oh, and my mommy; everything is mommy)

My 18 month check up went great; I am now 25 lbs and 30.5 inches. I got a shot, which I didnt like at all, but I think my mommy hated it as much as me.

Mommy and I were on our way home from daycare last week and I asked for a snack, mommy gave me one and kept looking at me in the rearview mirror; then she started smiling and laughing and even called daddy; I dont know what the big deal was....she taught me to say grace, so I folded my hands, mumbled to illegible sounds, and then said AMEN before I ate my snack :)

I think it is really funny when my daddy tries to ignore me...I call him "Dean" (and everytime he tells me "yes, Chloe my name is Dean, but you call me dada" (hehehe)

We went to Grandmas again for a day this weekend; she let me push her around my Pooh train again and even jump on her bed (gasp). I got to see my Uncle Mark and Auntie Kay; when we left I called for UNCLE half the ride home.

Mommy said I am going into a new room at daycare starting tomorrow; It is the two's room. (no more toddlers room); the director said that since I know all my colors, body parts, animal sounds, say please and thankyou without being asked (most of the time), and since I repeat EVERYTHING I hear, it is good for me to move into a room with kids that can challenge me developmentally. So....bye Gavin, and Tyler (my best toddler friends).

Daddy and Mommy said we are going back to Grandma's Thursday and Friday, but Saturday or Sunday we can go strawberry picking (yippie)

Happy 87th Birthday Grandma!

Last weekend I went to visit my grandma in Maine and it was so much fun.
She got on my little Winnie The Pooh Train and was scooting along and I was pushing her from behind. She is so cool!

I am so into dogs right now; (woof woof's). I just cant get enough of them. It must be Molson and Molly across the street because everytime I pass the front door I call 'woof' to see if mommy will take me out.

When I was at Grandma's, I woke up at 2am and was crying; mommy thought I was hungry and got me some milk but I was still crying. She picked me up and asked me "Chloe, what is wrong" and I looked her square in the eye, dropped a tear, and said "woof". She was not amused at first but then just started laughing and put me back to bed.

I go to the doctors on Friday for my 18 month checkup; I'll give you all the stats. I know I have grown so much since 12months. I can hold out one finger and say "I'm one" mommy loves it when I do that. (she is so easy to impress)

Some stories you just have to share....
Mommy, daddy, and I were eating little English Muffin pizzas last night; I was in my high chair and mommy and daddy were at the big table.

I bit down on a crunchy piece of muffin and it hurt my mouth; I opened my mouth right away and started fussing. Daddy knew what happened; he asked me "Chloe did you hurt your mouth?" I said "yeah, shook my head..and sniffled". He told me to "try the other side; that might feel better". So....I moved my entire body to the other side of the high chair; it didnt help!

You know you are in trouble when your not yet one and a half year old tries to 'rewind the cat'...and it is perfectly logical; let me share....

We have TIVO so when Chloes favorite cartoon jingle comes on (Noddy) and we get up dance and jump around; she likes it so much that she says and signs "more", so we use TIVO to rewind it and dance some more :)

Well...my exotic persian cat Chanel started sneezing like 7 or 8 times in rapid succession (it makes a kinda mousy sound) Chloe said and signed "more"; I tried to explain that the cat was sneezing and I couldnt make her do it again. She asked me again..."more" so I explained again..."Chloe I cant make her sneeze again honey..". She said "yes", picked up the TIVO remote, and pointed it towards the cat. --see...perfectly logical :) I told you I was in trouble (HEHE)

Chloe is so much fun, she tries to repeat anything you ask her to. Watermellon and Angelina are funny!

I am very sorry I have not posted in a while; I have been a very busy girl.

I LOVE my new daycare. They follow a curriculum so there are lots of fun things to do and learn.

My teachers Miss Janet and Miss Sarah are so nice. I get to eat lots of differnt foods and sit at a neat table with all of us sitting around it (it is only a few inches off the floor so we can sit down on our own)

I think I told you already but I am in a room with 9 boys.

Mommy asked me two days ago to say Jake..I said Jke. she asked me to say Hunter..I said Hunter (well close). she asked me to say Gavin..I said Gavin. She asked me to say Tyler and I said MWAH. Mommy made a great big smile (I think her jaw dropped too). Tyler likes me. Everytime I drop something at daycare, he picks it up and brings it to me right away. (he he)

Mommy was keeping track of all the words I was saying but she lost count at 45 as now I pretty much repeat everything. New this week was Sarah, Grass, lalalina (ballerina), and something mommy said in the car while driving..she told me not to say it again.

The weather is better so we have been going to the park and taking walks in the evening again.

I cant wait to go to Granmas and run in the grass at the farm.

Mommy has to go to the UK on business travel next month :(

Mommy says I am growing too fast!

I am learning lots of new words (cracker, book, off, cat, hi, and more). I pretty much try and repeat what you say but sometimes my tongue gets stuck and it comes out funny, but I try :)

I love to run in the house while looking over my shoulder to see if someone will chase me. I laugh and giggle and get up on my tiptoes-mommy and daddy just shake their heads and laugh. (and then tell me to slow down)

My new thing is I can get up into the chairs by myself and then I stand up and squeal until daddy yells at me to sit down; I think it is a game and get even more excited and when daddy gets up I flop down real quick, get down, and do it all again.

I am starting a new daycare next week. Mommy and daddy really stressed over this one; the new daycare is closer to mommys work and is open later at night so she doesnt have to keep taking time off from work when daddy works late; it is also accredited and is curriculum based vs general play; they are a little more family oriented (there are pictures in the classroom of our families and do things each month that families can do together), they have less days off (holidays, snow days etc), I hope I like it. I met my teacher last weekend and mommy is taking me to play tomorrow for a few hours. I'll keep you posted.

What was that we told you last week?....that I had 6 teeth? Well.....I have 9 now. OWIE!

Guess what else has been going on this week?....Sometimes I go to the bathroom on the potty. Yup...I dont ask to go yet, but mommy puts me on and I go. If I go in my diaper I sometimes let mommy or daddy know that I went (by pointing and walking funny). Mommy and Daddy get all excited (what else is new) :)

I think I might have an ear infection; I woke up today with a 101.9 fever and drainage in my ear. Mommy said she will get me all fixed up.

I love my baby and feeding her is one of my favorite things to do

I have two new teeth; I am up to 6 that have broken through and two more about to. (I have three on top in front and two on the bottom in front and then a big molar on top in the back).

I still use sign language, but my vocabulary is growing; I am also saying bah-bye, peek-a-boo, cat, ball, and baby (which sounds like bah-bah).

I put my own shoe on tonight. (it was the wrong shoe on the wrong foot, but I did it: I have been working on it for a while now). I try to put my socks on too, but not much luck there yet.

My mommy and daddy are planning a trip to visit Grandma, Uncle Scott, Auntie Julie, Uncle Barry, Aunt Ruth, and Cousin Hannah in Floria; I'll keep you all posted.

I am so happy mommy and daddy had those tubes put in my ears; my stuffy nose is almost gone--yup; I cant believe it.

I can hear so much better that I am starting to talk a lot more. Instead of just using sign language I am trying to say bye-bye, thank you, peek-a-boo, more etc.

I LOVE books; mommy, daddy, and nana read to me everyday; sometimes I just like to look at the pictures and turn the pages but I look at about 5 or 6 a day.

I am getting good at copying too; mommy makes funny faces at me when I eat and I try and copy them :) (she will regret this very soon). I like to dance (mommy says it looks like I am doing squats--whatever that is)

I am learning even more body parts and what different animals say.

I had the tubes put in my ears yesterday.

Daddy was sick so mommy and I went. I know mommy was nervous so I was such a good girl.
Mommy saw Dr Abrams in the hall at the Hospital when we first got there and that made her feel much better. We really miss her.

I went with the nurse without any trouble. (I think that helped mommy calm down)
The doctor came back after just 15 minutes and said it was all done; he told mommy that there was a lot of thick fluid in there and that it was old. He said it was a good thing we did this and we did it at the right time.

I woke up very cranky; Mommy heard me screaming when the nurse brought me down the hall to her. I was screaming and flailing around and didnt calm down for about 30-40 minutes. Mommy didnt know what to do to calm me, but as the anesthesia wore off I got better.
(Auntie Tina came to sit with mommy and she held me for a while too; and Dr Abrams came to check on me as well :))

When we got home I got sick to my tummy once but then was good.

I went back to daycare today after almost a whole week of being out; it was fun to play with my friends.
